Why Can T I Download A Game On Ps4 When I Have Enough Space

Says i have 343 1 gb 408 5 gb full says i have 18 79 gb of free space and says i can t download and install a 2 49 gb game demo until i free up more space.

Why can t i download a game on ps4 when i have enough space. I wonder if the xbone does this too. It s possible your hard. Sometimes on pc they have big encrypted archive files to hide the actual content so those may cost space while they are copied and patched but on ps4 there s no need for it as we can t actually see the files.

For downloading they download to a temp folder then copy over to a permanent one why you need twice the space. No trickery of saying 100gb available but then saying you can t put a 35gb game on it. You can t tell people the update is just over 11gb and in reality need like 80gb.

I have an xbone but never got that close. Not enough space to download update ps4. I don t think it does.

I have 77 7gb of space left anyone care to tell me how to fix this. I have 128 and once i go to download it my storage free space drops to 53gb. Can anyone explain this amount of system storage and why i can t download a small demo onto my ps4.
